IMTS 2026 was a great week for Rapid Holding Systems. We had the opportunity to exhibit alongside EDM Zap, showcase our workholding on a custom 4-head EDM machine and robotic automation setup, and connect in person with customers, partners, and manufacturers from across the industry. From seeing RHS tooling on machines throughout the show to discussing new custom workholding and automation projects, the conversations gave us plenty of ideas for what comes next. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared an application with us, or simply came to say hello. We're looking forward to continuing those conversations and helping more shops solve their CNC, EDM, and Wire EDM workholding challenges. A new Mitsubishi Wire EDM was ready for production, but the customer needed a workholding setup that could eventually hold 57 tight-tolerance aerospace parts. See how a five-part prototype helped validate the concept, reduce risk, and create a clear path toward the full production system. Read More Choosing 5-axis workholding is not just about picking a vise. The right setup depends on tool access, rigidity, setup changes, and how you want the machine to run. See when self-centering vises, zero-point systems, dovetail workholding, pyramids, and custom fixtures make the most sense. Read More What if your workholding gave you more access instead of getting in the way? CNC pull clamps secure parts from below, helping reduce setups, improve repeatability, and open up more machining area for 5-axis and multi-face work. Read more
